A Summer in Rome – A Study through the Book of Romans
Most of us would enjoy a summer vacation in Italy. As tourists, we’d probably like to see the sites like the Colosseum in Rome, the Pantheon, the Florence Cathedral, the leaning tower of Pisa, the Vatican and countless other historical places. Some of us may be able trace our ancestry to Italy and it would be an opportunity to learn more about our family roots. The apostle Paul in the first century wanted to visit Rome just like us. He was not looking to hit all the tourist spots, but he was looking to unite a family. Paul desired for Jews and Gentiles (non-Jews) to see their unity in the family of God. As a church, we are going to journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans this summer. We believe this summer series will help us all better understand our place in the family of God.
