As people understand that evangelism is a process of preparing hearts, planting His Word, and persuading responses, sharing the Good News becomes something in which everybody can participate.

At Knott Avenue, we prepare hearts through monthly service outreaches, sports leagues, and focused prayer. We plant God’s Word through faith stories, presenting the Good News, and intellectual dialogues. We encourage responses to God’s love through personal challenges and large outreach events. We have a five-week Evangelism Training Class that is offered in the fall, winter, and spring.

ONE VERSE EVANGELISM CLASS

Thursdays, April 27 – May 25 |  7:00-9:00 p.m.

You can share God’s lifesaving plan in Jesus Christ by being equipped with the “Romans6:23 Bridge” presentation in the five-week, One Verse Evangelism Class.  Each night there will be thirty minutes of classroom training from 7:00-7:30 p.m. to learn how to share your faith in a clear and logical way.  After our classroom time, you will go out with a mentor to visit people who have visited KACC from 7:30-9:00 p.m. with homemade cookies and information packets about our church.  When God puts together a “divine appointment” it’s an amazing time for those of us who do the visiting and those who get visited.  Sign up below or at the Evangelism table.

SERVANT EVANGELISM

Christmas Present Wrapping

Servant Evangelism days are when Knott Avenue people like you go out into the community serving others with unconditional acts of love “no strings attached”.  Through these efforts people sense and feel the love of God even before they understand where it originates.

“Servant evangelism = deeds of love + words of love + adequate time.”  The “deeds of love” allow us to connect with the hearts of those we serve. The “words of love” are what we say to curious people when they ask us to explain why we have served them.  The “adequate time” is to allow for the deeds and words to be molded into the heart of the person by the work of the Holy Spirit. Watch here for ways you can serve our community with the love of God.
