KACC Weekly Update - December 14th, 2016

#BOOKS4KIDS

For the month of December, we are partnering with OneHope, an international ministry that presents the message of hope to children and youth. Jesus Christ is the one and only hope for eternity - and when He is presented to the next generation, lives are transformed. The Book of Hope is a scripture book designed to engage and speak to the heartfelt needs of children. Every 3 check-ins on Facebook provides a Book of Hope for a child in a developing nation. So far we have provided 313 books!! Keep checking in – do good!

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Pastor Paul has invited our KACC family to participate in our Christmas Gift Offering. We’ll use 100% of donations to this offering to fund our “Getting Ready for Guests” projects. We have two projects we hope to get done before Easter Sunday. We always have a lot of guests at our church on Easter. We would love to make them feel extra welcome when they visit us in 2017. This “Getting Ready for Guests” project includes the following items.

  • A new check-in system for our Children’s Ministry. This electronic system will be more effective, efficient and secure for all of our families with little ones.
  • Finish the south parking lot. Our first impression starts with our parking lot. We completed the north lot and it looks great! Our south parking lot needs to be replaced and not simply repaired.

On December 18, we will receive these gift offerings during both of our Sunday services. We’re providing special giving envelopes and encouraging all of our church family to come prepared to give on that day. You can also give online. Of course we can continue to give to these projects in the New Year, but we hope to get a great start on these Getting Ready for Guests projects.

CHRISTMAS & CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES

This season, let’s remember our opportunity to share the message of hope with our neighbors and friends. Who will you invite to one of our Christmas services? We’ll have Christmas Eve services on Friday, December 23 at 7:00 pm, and two on Saturday, December 24 at 3:30 and 5:00 pm. Bring the whole family at 10:45 am on Christmas Day to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere (wear your Christmas jammies), sip some hot cocoa and hear the Christmas story shared in a special and meaningful way.

KACC DEACON & ELDER ELECTION

The next two Sundays you have an opportunity to cast a confirmation vote for elders, deacons and church officers, both new and returning. To be eligible to vote, you must be a member of KACC and 18 years of age or older. There are bios of the candidates in the church lobby and ballots inserted in your bulletin this Sunday. After completing the ballot, deposit in the boxes in the lobby.
