KACC Weekly Update - December 7th, 2016

For the month of December, we are partnering with OneHope, an international ministry that presents the message of hope to children and youth. Jesus Christ is the one and only hope for eternity - and when He is presented to the next generation, lives are transformed. The Book of Hope is a scripture book designed to engage and speak to the heartfelt needs of children. Every 3 check-ins on Facebook provides a Book of Hope for a child in a developing nation. Keep checking in – do good!

Thursday, December 22
6:00 pm – 8:30

Our Jr High and High School students are invited to enjoy some crazy Christmas fun on Thursday, December 22, from 6pm-8:30pm in the Auditorium. This combined student ministry night will include potluck-style feasting, crazy games, hanging out and prizes! This is a free event, perfect for inviting friends!

Don’t miss this Sunday as we continue our message series titled, Christmas Rewind. The story of Christmas is one that we’ve heard countless times. We have seen it depicted on Christmas ornaments and TV movies. Almost everywhere you look in December, the story of Christmas is seen, from coke cans to lawn decorations. We have become so familiar with the story; we may have lost its meaning. We want to look at Christmas from a different perspective. We are going to press, “rewind” and view this wonderful story backwards. We believe that if we look from a new vantage point, we will see and better understand the depth of its significance.

Beginning this Sunday and for the next two Sundays you have an opportunity to cast a confirmation vote for elders, deacons and church officers, both new and returning. To be eligible to vote, you must be a member of KACC and 18 years of age or older. There are bios of the candidates and ballots in the lobby that includes instructions for voting. After completing the ballot, deposit it in the boxes at the exits.
