KACC Weekly Update - December 21st 2016

This season, let’s remember our opportunity to share the message of hope with our neighbors and friends. Who will you invite to one of our Christmas services? We’ll have Christmas Eve services on Friday, December 23 at 7:00 pm, and two on Saturday, December 24 at 3:30 and 5:00 pm. Bring the whole family at 10:45 am on Christmas Day to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere (wear your Christmas jammies), sip some hot cocoa and hear the Christmas story shared in a special and meaningful way.

Our offices will be closed from December 26 – December 30. Any year-end giving will need to be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included in 2016. Happy 2017!!

Blood Drive

On Monday, January 9, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm you have the opportunity to meet the needs of others by donating blood through the Red Cross, right here at KACC. You can sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code “KACC,” or sign up at church beginning January 1. Invite a friend to give blood with you and introduce them to the heart of Jesus Christ that looks to serve others.

For the month of December, we are partnering with OneHope, an international ministry that presents the message of hope to children and youth. Jesus Christ is the one and only hope for eternity - and when He is presented to the next generation, lives are transformed. The Book of Hope is a scripture book designed to engage and speak to the heartfelt needs of children. Every 3 check-ins on Facebook provides a Book of Hope for a child in a developing nation. So far we have provided 420 books!! Keep checking in – do good!

You have until Sunday, December 25 to cast a confirmation vote for elders, deacons and church officers, both new and returning to serve in 2017. To be eligible to vote, you must be a member of KACC and 18 years of age or older. There are bios of the candidates and ballots in the lobby that includes instructions for voting. After completing the ballot, deposit in the boxes in the lobby.

January 16 through April 17

If you are 18 years or older and experiencing the pain of losing a loved one, please join us for our next Biblically-based session of GriefShare. Griefshare meets on Mondays, in Fellowship Hall beginning January 16 through April 17. The cost is $20 and Childcare is available. For more information, contact Linda Minner at 714.952.2660.

Beginning January 22

The church is designed by God to be the place where we find our most intimate relationships. In this series, we want to explore the nature of these family relationships in church. We hope that this will be a time where you see the value of moving from being a “friend” of our church to a “family” member. Beginning January 22, we will begin an all church study with questions and curriculum from these messages.
