KACC Weekly Update - March 16th, 2016

Paul Crandell named New Lead Pastor at Knott Ave Christian Church

Pastor Paul Crandell was confirmed as the new Lead Pastor of KACC on Sunday, March 13. After an overwhelming affirmation vote of the church membership, the elders presented Paul, along with his wife Lindsey, before the church for God’s blessing and commissioning. A reception and opportunity to meet and greet Paul and his family was offered following both services.

Pastor Paul, started at KACC in March of 2014 leading our Young Adults Ministry, Illuminate.  He previously worked in youth ministry for eight years in Northern and Southern California.  He graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor’s in Theology in 2006 and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in 2009.  He received his Doctorate of Ministry from the same seminary in 2015. Paul has been married to Lindsey since 2005.  They have a daughter, Alexine 6 and a son, Paxton, 4.

With great anticipation for what God will do at KACC in this new season, we welcome and pray for Pastor Paul and his family, as we begin this new journey together.

Volunteers Are Still Needed!  Can You Help?

Saturday, March 26 is our annual KACC Easter Egg Hunt.  We are still seeking volunteers who can serve at this fun church event and community outreach.  Service areas include face painting, balloon twisting, or even simply egg hiding. We also need donations of plastic Easter eggs, as well as wrapped candies to fill them. If you would like to donate or to register as a volunteer, please stop by the Creation Cove table on Sunday, or the church office during the week.

Good Friday Service

Friday, March 25

5:30 pm | English Service

7:00 pm | Spanish Service

Come join us for a time to look at the prophecy of Isaiah 53 to see how the “Stripes of Love” that Jesus took for us on Good Friday would bring the healing and peace only the Savior of the World could provide.  The Good Friday service will be a time of grateful reflection upon Jesus who was destined to be the servant who suffered so we could be free.

Sharing Easter

Saturday, March 26th, 6:00pm

Sunday, March 27th, 6:00am, 9:00am, 10:45 am, 12:45pm (Spanish)

Last Sunday, you received some Easter invitations in your bulletin.  Don’t forget to use these to invite family, friends, co-workers and others that you meet, to this special time of celebrating our risen Lord! If you need more cards, there are still some available in the church lobby.

Remember, there will be a shuttle on Easter morning to alleviate parking congestion. You can park at Western High School on Orange Avenue for the 9:00 am and 10:45 am services.  Consider using the shuttle service to make more room for our visitors.
