MEET JOE COTA
New Worship Pastor at KACC
Joe is excited to be functioning in the role of worship pastor at KACC. Graduating from Hope International University with a Bachelor of Music in May 2013, he began a new journey of growth, both in his skills and in his faith. He has been on staff at KACC since the start of 2016, and is thrilled to be serving the local church with his wife, Melinda. As they follow God's leading, one of Joe's greatest joys in worship is knowing that when the service ends, the real work is only beginning. He is passionate about carrying out worship as a lifestyle that permeates every area of life. Now acting as the worship pastor, his prayer is that people would continue to keep Jesus at the center of their lives, and thus impacting their spheres of influence for God's kingdom. Joe and Melinda enjoy eating ice cream, playing paddle ball at the park, and watching Netflix (even though Joe tends to fall asleep before the end of the movie).
Formerly the Cry Room
We are currently in the process of updating our cry room to make it more mom and infant friendly. With that, we have established new policies to create a space where moms can feel comfortable with their new babies.
This room will now be a moms and babies only area. Please understand that it is our goal to respect the privacy of nursing mothers. Signs have been put in place at the entrance of both doors to notify families. While the signage indicates that the Mom’s Room is for mothers with infants age birth to three months, there will likely be cases when it would be appropriate for a mother with an older baby to use the room.
Dads and grandparents with infants or toddlers are welcome to utilize the space at either end of the lobby where they can sit with their child and still hear the sermon. Remember, we have a great Children’s Ministry! Our nursery takes infants six-weeks old and up. Church, let’s be proactive in helping guests locate the Children’s Center building, even consider walking with new guests over there when you have the opportunity. We want parents to feel comfortable leaving their kids with our children’s ministry volunteers, but we realize that our visitors may still be getting acclimated to KACC. Be sensitive to our guests and let them know of their available options.
THE ABCs OF FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Current Message Series
Don’t miss our Celebration Sunday on May 1, for the final message from the ABCs of Financial Freedom series. We have invited special guest speaker, Matt Cameron, to be with us on that day.
Matt is the son of Barry Cameron, the author of the book, “The ABCs of Financial Freedom.” He is the youth pastor at Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, a thriving church of over 6,000. Matt is a third generation preacher. His primary passion in life is to reach the lost, which is evidenced through his preaching. He has served in two other ministries in Kansas and Oklahoma. Matt has been the featured speaker at a number of youth conferences and camps. He also serves as part of the ABCs of Financial Freedom Ministry. Matt and his beautiful wife, Lindley have two sons, Will and Levi. We are excited to welcome him to KACC and learn what he will share with us about achieving financial freedom.
