Sharing her decision to step down as Women’s Ministry Director

Hello friends and family. I am stepping down from my position as Women's Ministry Director at Knott Avenue Christian Church to focus on my ministry as mommy to my five children and minister as the Holy Spirit leads me. This may sound confusing. So I will repeat, I am going to be a stay at home mom and serve God as He leads me. The natural question is, "How will you provide for your family?" My answer is I won't, but God has, in a miraculous way. Although it may sound unbelievable, we shouldn't be surprised, see in the New Testament, widows were supported financially and gave themselves to the service of God's church. I've always wanted to live that way. By the book. And now by the grace of God, He has made this possible. I now have the flexibility to speak at conferences, help at my dad’s orphanage and do a lot of other things God's placed on my heart. I'm not leaving my church family, nor am I moving away, however, I've got my seatbelt tightened and I will say I'm ready to go wherever the Lord leads when He says it's time to go. I hope this clarifies some things. If you know me, you know there are some amazing God stories in all of this. I promise to share more details in time.
More to come! To God be the glory.

Please share your love and support for Alex this Sunday at a reception in her honor following both services this Sunday, May 29.

Remember, all this month, every five Facebook check-ins at KACC provides one day of food for a mom and her baby in places like Haiti, El Salvador, Kenya, and Indonesia, where moms and babies need the most help. We’ve partnered with Compassion International to make this opportunity possible. As of Tuesday morning, May 24 we had over 1,555 check-ins! That means our KACC family has now provided for 311 days of food for moms and babies! Keep it up KACC! Remember to tag friends and family – it counts for more check-ins! Adding #love4moms to your posts reminds your friends why you are checking in.
