KACC Weekly Update - December 6th, 2017

a brighter Christmas.jpg

On Sunday, October 1st, 58 people lost their lives and 546 were injured when a gunman opened fire on a crowd in Las Vegas. That day changed the lives of everyone there, and thousands more who were not in attendance but knew someone who was there. Families lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters. These families missed their loved ones on Thanksgiving and are now entering the Christmas season with profound feelings of loss. As a church, we know that Christmas is a time to remember the gift given to all of humanity in the birth of Christ, our Savior. God gave His only son to give us all hope. We believe that message can brighten even the darkest times of our lives. We want to invite you to follow the example of God's generosity by joining us in giving a financial gift to four families that are connected to our church and were deeply affected by the shooting. Our hope is that we can make each of their Christmases just a little brighter during this dark time. Please prayerfully consider how you can join us in this gift. You can give at church on Sunday or online at kacc.church/give. Please note on your check or reference online: A Brighter Christmas.

Here’s a fun way you can share the love of Christ in our community this Christmas. On Saturday, December 16 we need still need people to wrap presents for free in two hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. inside the mall at Buena Park Downtown. The later shifts get more customers so we need more wrappers then. We can also use donations of wrapping paper, tape and bows. Sign-up on your connect card, or at the Make a Difference table this Sunday.
