KACC Weekly Update - February 1st, 2017

Info about the KACC Membership Class, One Verse Evangelism Class, & Junior Winter Camp

This February, we’re asking you to check-in with love. We are once again partnering with Compassion International to help children in need who are waiting for a sponsor. Every 6 check-ins on Facebook provides a day of care for a child in poverty. In the program, the children will receive: nutritious meals to combat hunger, health assessments to identify medical needs, lessons in reading, writing and math, training for proper hygiene practices, and the opportunity to hear about God’s love for them. In October last year, we were able to provide 301 days of care, we’d love to do more this month.

Visit Compassion International’s Facebook page and website to learn more about how they care for children in need all over the world.

This Sunday, we welcome our preschool children, who will sing for us at both services. The KACC Early Childhood Development Center is celebrating 40 years! They have had the same mission - providing a safe and loving environment that allows children to learn about the love of Christ and get a head start on education. There are currently 86 children enrolled for the core learning hours or before and after care. Enrollment for summer and fall begins February 17.

The Worship Ministry is a service opportunity that offers a unique experience serving our KACC church family. For the month of February, we will again provide a point-of-contact for our church with the Worship Ministry at the Information Center on Sundays. Some opportunities to consider are instruments, voices, media and hospitality. We’d love to start a conversation with you!

KACC serves our community each week through our food pantry. Each Thursday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 pm the pantry is available for our neighbors and those within our church who need it. We have many dedicated volunteers who not only help with the distribution of food, they listen and pray with those that come. We can always use your donations of non-perishable food and toiletries. Bring items to church on Sundays or to the church office during the week.
