KACC Weekly Update - February 22nd, 2017

Information about the new message series from the book of Colossians and the church work day

This February, we’re asking you to check-in with love. We are once again partnering with Compassion International to help children in need who are waiting for a sponsor. Every 6 check-ins on Facebook provides a day of care; spiritual, economic, social, and physical support for a child in poverty.

To date we have been able to raise 200 days of care, which is great, but we need a lot more check-ins to match or beat our goal! Keep checking in church family!

The Worship Ministry is a service opportunity that offers a unique experience serving our KACC church family. For the month of February, we will again provide a point-of-contact for our church with the Worship Ministry at the Information Center. Some opportunities to consider are instruments, voices, media and hospitality. We’d love to start a conversation with you!

Beginning Monday, March 6
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm | Fellowship Hall

If you are 18 years or older and experiencing the pain of losing a loved one, please join us for our next Biblically-based session of GriefShare. This group meets at 6:30 pm on Mondays, in Fellowship Hall beginning March 6 and continues for thirteen weeks. The cost is $20 and Childcare is available. For more information, contact Linda Minner at 714.952.2660.

Friday, March 10 | 6:00 to 8:30 pm. | It is free!

Parents, send your 4th & 5th graders to Freak Out Friday to get a taste of the Student Ministry at KACC! Kids will participate in a number of crazy games inside the incredible “CAGE!” After they’ve burned off all their energy, they will refuel with delicious pizza. We promise to send them home exhausted, yet excited about one day as 6th graders joining us on Thursday Nights for THE CAGE!

SATURDAY, MARCH 18, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon

Save the date to make a difference on our church campus.

We want to “Get Going” as KACC Family to get God’s house ready for the guests who will be coming to visit us this Easter season. We are looking for 125+ people to join us Saturday, March 18 to make some key improvements in and around our church.

Check your bulletin this Sunday for all the opportunities to help. We have identified many areas that need the attention of varying skill levels, from dusting to tree trimming! We are also looking for people who are knowledgeable and skilled to head up work crews over specific areas. Maybe you have a special skill or tools that you would share with us on our work day - let us know! Contact Pastor Mike Hammontre at 714.527.5195 x 217, or sign up on Sunday at the Information Center (Get Going table)!
