KACC Weekly Update - March 8th, 2017

In this Bible study through the book of Colossians, we will learn the secrets of living a fruitful Christian life. By today’s standards these secrets may seem counterintuitive: We find victory in surrender. We find life in death. We discover strength in weakness. We are enriched through sacrifice. This series will challenge us to grow deep in our faith and live tall in our daily lives. There will be study questions with this message series for you to continue with your life group.

Don’t forget, Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 12. It will be time to “Spring Forward.” So, remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. You will lose an hour of sleep, but you’ll be right on time for church on Sunday morning!

No child should ever go hungry! That’s why this March, we’re stepping in to help stop hunger through our partnership with feedOne. Every 2 check-ins on facebook will provide a meal to one of over 146,676 children in ten countries that feedONE Children’s Feeding Initiative serves. Our goal this month is to provide at least 750 meals for children in need. Let’s beat this goal and feed hungry kids!

SATURDAY, MARCH 18, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon

Plan to make a difference on our church campus. We want to “Get Going” as KACC Family to get God’s house ready for the guests who will be coming to visit us this Easter season. We are looking for 125+ people to join us Saturday, March 18 to make some key improvements in and around our church.

Check your bulletin this Sunday for all the opportunities to help. We have identified many areas that need attention of varying skill levels, from dusting to tree trimming! We are also looking for people who are knowledgeable and skilled to head up work crews over specific areas. Maybe you have a special skill or tools that you would share with us on our work day - let us know! Contact Pastor Mike Hammontre at 714.527.5195 x 217, or sign up on Sunday at the Information Center (Get Going table)!

Saturday, April 8 (Doors open at 7:00 pm)

Mark your calendars now, and plan to invite friends and family to this fun evening of laughs. On Saturday, April 8 we’ll enjoy comedians Darren Carter, Eric Schwartz, Gilbert Escuival and our good friend Carlos Oscar, live in our Auditorium (doors open at 7:00 pm). Tickets are one for $15, two for $25 and four for $45. They will be available at church and online soon! This will not only be a wonderful outreach event, but will also benefit RLM Recovering Life Ministries, the men’s group home we support. Don’t miss this! Childcare will not be available for this event.
