KACC Weekly Update - April 19th, 2017

This Sunday we begin our new 5-week series titled Awkward. In 2017 the difference between what kids experience and what their parents experienced as teenagers is enormous. Our kid’s questions, about homosexuality, gender, and politics, leave us feeling “awkward” and “out of touch.” Join us as we walk through these questions from our teenagers and seek to find God’s answers. This series will include an all-church study. If you haven’t yet found a life group, this is the perfect time to join in!

For the month April we are partnering with Vitamin Angels. Their mission is to help at-risk populations – specifically pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five – gain access to lifesaving vitamins and minerals needed as a foundation for good health. Every 2 check-ins on Facebook this month will provide a year of vitamins for children in 54 countries, including the US. In March we surpassed our goal of 750 #meals4kids by providing 850 meals! Let’s do it again! Check-in and help children get necessary vitamins.

New Start date – this Thursday, April 27. Learn how to share your faith in Jesus as your Savior and Lord with one verse using the simple illustration of the “Romans 6:23 Bridge.” You can share your faith and make a difference. This is a class everyone should take! It will meet five Thursday nights at 7:00-9:00 p.m. from April 27 – May 25. Sign up at the Evangelism table at the Information Center today!

Come learn about the vision, values and direction of Knott Avenue Christian Church. If you haven’t yet placed your membership at KACC, this class is for you! On Sunday, May 7 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Pastor Paul and Pastor Mike will co-teach this class to help you know about this church, so you can plant your roots here to make a difference for God. Lunch is included and childcare is available, if you sign up by April 30.

Our morning church services on May 28 will be especially designed to remember our fallen military and first responders. If you are in the military, a veteran, a first responder or retired first responder and would like to help Pastor Mike with this day, call him at extension 217. We are also looking for a cooking team to cook a special breakfast to local first responders and veterans who attend during the morning.
