KACC Weekly Update - July 19th, 2017

It’s this Sunday, church family! Come celebrate fiesta style! After second service July 23, we’ll enjoy some family fun, games and TACOS. There will be carne asada, chicken, al pastor (pork) tacos and Mexican corn (all 1.50 each)! There will be some delicious drink options, too. If you forgot to place your order last week, no worries, there will be tacos for everyone! Remember, the proceeds above the cost of the food will go to help us finish paying for our parking lot!

Elementary age kids are invited to this special overnighter right here at KACC. The kids will hear from Keith Poletiek, cartoonist, author and storyteller from Project 3:16. There will be bowling, pizza, crazy games and hopefully even a little sleep! This fun-filled night is from 7:30 pm on July 28 to 9:00 am, July 29. Parents, this Sunday is the last day to register your child. Sign them up at Creation Cove, or online at kacc.church. The cost for this event is $25.

We are the church as we work, go to school, participate in sports, enjoy hobbies and do ordinary things. In other words, doing the everyday things of life, but doing them in a way that shows our devotion to Jesus and one another. As a church, we’ve been given the challenge to intentionally build relationships with those who live around us by hosting a Neighborhood BBQ. If you would like to host a BBQ in your neighborhood, you can sign up at church to receive a hosting kit that includes invitations, a timeline, information how to host the event, coloring pages for kids, yard signs, BBQ sauce and seasonings. More information is available at the Information Center. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to make connections with our neighbors and enjoy some time together!

If you really enjoy fishing, then this weekend at Tuff’s campground at Mammoth Lakes is for you! September 8-10, we’ll enjoy two and a half fantastic days of fishing, hiking, and plenty of time to enjoy God’s beautiful creation. For just $49 per person, we’ll provide your campsite and great grub. You bring all your camping and fishing gear. Fishermen of all levels will enjoy this weekend. Sign up at the Men’s Ministry table this Sunday!

During July, every check-in provides one week of clean drinking water to a family in Haiti. We’re working with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission to make it happen. This group partners with local churches to bring the people of Northwest Haiti out of spiritual, physical and social poverty. For more information about this month’s charity, check out www.nwhcm.org. As of Wednesday, July 19 our check-ins have provided a week or water for 991 families! Keep checking in, church family and #givewater!
