KACC Weekly Update - August 16th, 2017

Sunday, August 20 | 4:00 pm

You can still be baptized at the beach this Sunday. If you would like to be baptized on this day, you’ll need to talk to a KACC Pastor first about your faith journey with Jesus. Please call the church office to connect with pastor about your desire to be baptized.

Our last summer family event is coming up on Sunday, September 10th after second service (12:30 pm). We’ve enjoyed a BBQ and a Taco Fiesta, and now we’ll have the famous IN-N- OUT truck here to provide their yummy hamburgers and cheeseburgers! We’ll have fun and games for the whole family with bouncers, yard games, dunk tank, pie-a- pastor, water slide and more. There will be a Hawaiian Shave Ice truck here too, so you can top off your meal with a cool treat!
You will also have the chance to check out and choose a life group, with leaders on hand to share info about each group. There are groups that meet every day of the week, both on and off campus. If you don’t already have a group, here’s your chance to find one that works for you!

In August, we are partnering with BuildOn, an organization that builds schools in developing nations. Every 6 check-ins on facebook will provide one brick to build a school. BuildOn has built more than 1,000 schools in seven countries around the world. This month, as kids in our community head back to school, let’s check-in at kacc and help build a school in Nicaragua. Learn more at buildon.org. and check out their video on our facebook page. #bricks4schools.
As of Wednesday, August 16, we have provided 119 bricks. Let’s give 250!

Thank you, church family, for your participation in our fundraising efforts. Whether you purchased a KACC cup or made a scholarship donation, we were able to raise over $3,000! Because of this, we were able to help a number of students, including 10 brand new attendees. CIY (Christ in Youth) challenged our students to be Kingdom Workers. Our students had an opportunity to live out this challenge while volunteering at VBS. Thank you for your continued prayers and generous giving that supports our ministry as we strive to proclaim Christ to students.
Check out this video of our students at CIY.
