THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY

As a church, we were able to collect LOTS and LOTS of toothpaste to send to victims of the recent Hurricanes that have affected so many. All donations were sent to Coast to Coast Foundation this week for inclusion in care packages for distribution to those still displaced by the devastation. Thank you church family, for helping and for caring!

MEGA NIGHT INVASION

WE NEED CANDY!

On Tuesday, October 31, we’re once again taking some “Mega” fun to our local neighborhoods through our Life Groups! Each group will select a home of a family in their group, and each house will offer full-sized candy bars, an invitation to our Winter Wonderland in December, and depending on the decision of the groups, games, face painting, etc. Our neighbors are out with their families on this night. We want to make the most of the opportunity to get to know them and show them some love! WE NEED CANDY TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN, CHURCH FAMILY! Pastor Paul has challenged us to purchase the full-sized candy bars for this special event. Can you help? Let’s make this outreach a happy success!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER

FILL A BAG WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS HELP
FOR OUR PANTRY OUTREACH

On Sunday, October 8th red bags will be made available to help you “fill a bag” with food (non-expired canned goods, dry goods, etc.) and hygiene products (tooth brushes, tooth paste, wipes, deodorant, etc.) to help stock our pantry. The Knott Avenue Christian Church food pantry helps our community with physical and spiritual assistance every Thursday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Along with receiving food, each person meets with a prayer counselor who listens with compassion, shares hope in Christ and prays for the individual.

We want to challenge you to “Get out there and… fill a bag with your neighbors help!” This way we can really stock up the pantry as we share the love of God in a practical way in our community. Along with your bag, you will get a stack of cards to invite your neighbors to help provide goods for the pantry. The cards have an introduction to the food pantry and an explanation of how they can help. You can put your contact information on the card so that neighbors can connect with you and coordinate their delivery of goods.

By “Getting out there and…filling a bag with your neighbor’s help” you will be building community with your neighbors in a positive, loving way and making a difference in our community along with your neighbors!
